There is no specific required time for preparation. It depends from person to person and his/her ability to grasp concepts.
For majority students, I'd recommend joining a one year program at a proper coaching center. It typically starts around August, September and coaches you till the exam next year.
Make sure that you give all their mock tests and analyze the results as well (where you went right, where you went wrong). That always help you find your strengths and weaknesses and thus tackle your main exam accordingly.

I don't think that you will be able to fill in the CAT form as you do not meet the minimum criteria of 50%. Please have a look at the eligibility criteria for appearing in CAT examination.

Hi,
The answer to your question is simple as the new campus need students. They want to expand and establish their new campus asap.
Also, as it is a new campus, everything will not be same as of the main campus.

Hello Radhika,
The CAT scores are being accepted by all IIMs and IITs for MBA admissions. They are the top central government institutions for MBA in India. The required CAT percentile is 90 and above for the top IIMs and IITs . you also need to have atleast 50% in your bachelor degree.

Hello Abhilash,
As per your percentile, it is very difficult to get a seat at DOMS, IIT-Madras. The CAT percentile should be 94+ for IIT-Madras, but they also look at your profile.
CAT 2017 cut-off will depend upon various factors. Some of the factors determining CAT cut-off can be mentioned as follows:
Difficulty level of exam
Number of test takers
Number of candidates qualifying the exam
Number of seats
Institute repute or ranking
As per trends, if the difficulty level of CAT 2017 is high, the CAT cut-off will be low and vice versa. Generally, the old IIMs and top B-Schools such as FMS, University of Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, etc., have CAT cut-o

Hello Tani,
Your academics are good. For cracking IIM A, B and C, you can expect your graduation marks to be equivalent or above 75%.
Also , IIMs ABC usually take students above 99percentile (depending upon the cut-off).
