Hello Priyadarshan. Congrats for a good score in CMAT. Check out Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM), Madurai. It is one of the reputed B-Schools in South India, having a legacy of around 58 years. You are eligible to apply to TSM for admission. Since you have scored well in CMAT. I would urge you to consider joining any institution which accepts the CMAT Score because if you opt out and prepare for CAT it would create an gap in your academic career. Hello Shaik, its typical shakespearean dilemma to be or not to be, MBA or PG in engineering. However counsellor is helpless in this issue. Both the choices have equal opportunities for future placements and I personally feel that it is the personal choice of the candidate that should declared as to whether you should become a generalist or a technocrat. The field of advisors would be equally divided between these two choices. I would ask you to ponder over the issue think deeply and then decide whether you want to go for MBA or M.Tech. Best wishes to you.

Frankly speaking, there is no right or wrong time when it comes to take a decision related to your studies. Just do it right now. Since you are in the second year of your degree college, start devoting some time for the preparation of the CAT examination along with your graduation college studies. And if I talk about the exam date, then it would be announced later. You have ample of time for preparing. All the best.

Hello! CAT (and other MBA entrance exams) need only 4-6 months of dedicated preparations so you can start them in your final year. 3-4 hours of daily studying should be sufficient then. In the meanwhile, you can gradually start by reading, improving your vocabulary, and mental calculations since these will come quite in handy later. Good luck!

If you're preparing for CAT exam then one thing is clear that if you want to take admission in IIMs or any top B-school of MBA then you need a good percentile but if you're seeking admission in private colleges then you can directly go to the college.

Major difference between CAT and CMAT is of General Knowledge questions, CAT question paper does not include GK questions, on the other hand, CMAT has questions regarding GK, so you need to prepare for that additionally if appearing for CMAT for which you have to read daily newspaper and you can also refer Lucents general knowledge book. Other than that everything remains same and yes CMAT exam is quite easy then CAT paper, so you need not worry much regarding other things, if you are preparing hard for CAT you are definitely going to crack CMAT with a little preparation of GK, with a good score.

In the perspective of package and stuff, yes ! Usually architects salary starts with 3LPA - 5LPA ( After MArch - from CEPT if you consider). If you are very good at CAT exams pattern, you can crack and get into top Iims. Again the interests are subjective, Lot of management and stuff. Am basically an architect and used to hate design even though the projects which I have worked on got IID awards.
