Hi Vishvesh,
Preparing for CAT is not that easy. You need to dedicated work hard and smart for it. As you have mentioned that you are a little weak in English, I suggest you to work on it more and on the other sections you should master such that it would cover up for the loss in English. One would not be able to define in terms of months or weeks. You need to consistently work on it. For some Just 5 to 6 hours of genuine study is enough whereas for some even 15 hours are not enough. So you according to your caliber decide and start working on it from now on. Good Luck Mate.

Hi Sail,
Congratulations on scoring 90 percentile in CAT. This is an amazing score. You can expect from colleges like SIES, SIMSR, IES MET Welingkar. Chances from other top colleges are little low. Good Luck Mate.

Hello,
Generally, 4-6 months of dedicated preparation is considered and should suffice for one to crack CAT. And, your English is weak, you need to daily put in efforts to improve it. Read the newspapers (especially the editorial columns), books like "Word Power Made Easy" to improve vocabulary, sites/apps for handy practice, English movies/serials (with subtitles), etc. Also, try to convers ate with people more in English to improve your diction and accent. All the best.

Yes, you can study for your CAT, and other good examination. If your concepts are clear, then there is not much to do with the time. You just need to do more practice. Solve as much test series as you can. That will enhance your speed and productivity.

Hi,
Firstly, it is good to start preparing early. It will give you an edge over others later for sure. So, to begin the preparations, divide and manage your time so as to devote equal time for all the sections. For Verbal Ability, Quant, Data Interpretation, practice Arun sharma for each or use any good coaching study material. I recommend TIME. Their material might seem a little difficult, but it will be worth the pain. Also, start using 'Word Power Made Easy'. Lastly, join a test series, be it TIME, IMS or Career Launcher. I would again recommend taking AIMCATs, i.e Time test series. Keep taking these tests seriously, and analyze eac

Hi,
Both these have great demand and opportunities. It is fully based on your interest to choose any one. If you wish to take MBA, you should give CAT or MAT. If you wish to take CA, it would be best to pursue B.Com and later directly register for intermediate course of CA i.e, IPCC and continue it. Good luck.

All the top IIMs prefer students with a CAT percentile above 98 and they also demand a minimum of three years of work experience after your graduation.

Some schools accept gap years, but for appearing in an interview, more weightage is given to the work experience. Some candidates prepare for this exams along with their respective jobs. So, that's why most of the big firms don't consider this gap year for preparation as a valid reason.
