For CAT topic: You must identify the section you can improve most in, it is worth the effort. If by Goa you mean Goa Institute of Management, we had 100% placement, the highest salary is of 22L, and average is of 10.5L.

Call from IIM will depend on your score that has to be above 99% at least. Your class 10th and class 12th percentage are fine.

You need to dedicate good 6-7 hours per day to learn and understand the concepts. Once you are done with concepts, start giving mock tests. Give as many mock tests as you can so that you know what's your preparation level and how much more you need to prepare. Most of all, dedication and commitment towards studies are required.

Hi Nikita, Students new to paper pattern can take up to a year or more, but the ones with a bit background or knowledge can grasp the concept overall in 6 to 8 months. There are students who study from years and still can't make to Iims and even the fresher crack the admission process with less training. You need passion and determination.

Hi Buddy
Look, CAT is not about study more. Its about how much you manage yourself during exam. The only part which may be difficult for many people is VARC. LRDi is not difficult as it looks. If you attempt 2 set correct of LRDI means 8 question, you will be above 88percentile if you attempt 12 question Correct in LRDI section you will be landing above 98 percentile. Quants section is what you need little practice. Quants for CAT is not that difficult. You should know only basics of every chapter. You can easily score above 85 in quants. So, best is give at least 4 mock test in a week so that you know which part you can improve on.

Some basic pointers:
SNAP stands for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test. It provides admission to the 15 Symbiosis Institutes. Some of the premier colleges which one can apply for through SNAP include SCMHRD and SIBM. So how does SNAP fare in comparison to CAT. To start with, SNAP is considered to be relatively easier than CAT. The type of questions asked is also not wildly different preparation for CAT. Creates 80% of the groundwork needed for SNAP while CAT has MCQs and subjective questions, SNAP only has MCQs. So if the worst comes to worse, you still have a 1/4 chance to get marks in SNAP versus the subjective questions in CAT. This m
