Also, take a digital course study it fast and get to practice tests. Understand this thing that every year 1 lakh plus students give CAT and join classes, but only 5k makes it to IIM so self-study goes the long way.

You can totally rely on study material of one good coaching institute like Alphanumeric, TIME, CL, Tathagat, etc. along with a test series of Test Funda or TIME.
Alphanumeric classes offer online module specific courses which you can opt for depending on your needs.

Hello Shyam,
Arun Sharma's book named "How to prepare for Data Interpretation for CAT?” and “How to prepare for Logical Reasoning for CAT?" are the best ones for learning whole concepts gradually from basic to advance level.

Hello Animesh,
You did not mention which year you are into. But anyway, the earlier one starts preparing for CAT, the better.
CAT is a tough nut to crack.
Also, I would ask you to not believe over others while choosing a coaching center for yourself.
Rather, I would ask you to shortlist famous ones from your city and then go for some demo classes and then decide.
You will be able to judge better.
Good luck.

Hello Yash,
If you are planning to take CAT exam, it is a very good decision.
CAT exam has topics related to maths like arithmetics and reasoning.
B.Sc (MPCS) is better than B.Sc (PCM) because, in computers, you are able to know more about the computers and as well as maths. And also computers having a huge scope than chemistry nowadays. Another thing, computers is also helpful in MBA.
I am also a B.Sc in MPCS student.

Dear Akash,
This is the real test for MBA, how did you manage your time? See, time management is essential for cracking CAT. According to me, what you can do is every day give your 2 hours for CAT preparation. Once you get the free time from your engineering lectures, don't start new topic for CAT but revise what you studied earlier because, in this panic situation, it is very likely that you forget either CAT concepts or your B.Tech concepts and both are necessary for top B-School. Remember, scoring 99%ile in CAT may not get you a prestigious MBA college, but you have to equally focus on your B.Tech score card as it has a lot of weight
