For English reading comprehension consists of 50% + paper. Always read only one para and write down in 2 lines simply what u understood about it. Do this for all 3-4 remaining paragraphs for 1 complete paraphrase. I will get the best gist of the comprehension.

I believe no body can answer this question perfectly, since the choice differs from person to person.
It is better to attend demo classes of the renowned institutes and then reach to a conclusion.

Hello Tanya,
I would suggest you visit the available coaching "brands" like Career Launcher, TIME, IMS etc personally and take demo classes if possible.
You will then be able to make a fair decision.
Also, you can predict your call from IIM through Shiksha IIM call predictor here: https://www.shiksha.com/mba/resources/iim-call-predictor.
Good Luck !!

Hello Abha,
Ask your daughter to evaluate herself by solving one or two mock papers. By this, she will get to understand her weak areas.
There are a number of books available in the market for the preparation of the same.
For QA :
Arun Sharma: How to prepare for Quantitative Ability for CAT
How to Prepare for the CAT Common Admissions Test by Muhamed Muneer
Quantitative Aptitude for Competitive Examinations by Abhijit Guha
Quantitative Aptitude for CAT and Other MBA Entrance Exams by Trishna Knowledge Systems Pearson
Books for Verbal and Reading Comprehension:
How to Prepare for the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension for CAT by Arun Shar

Hello Saloni,
B.Com is a 3-year course and by the time you reach the final year, you will be eligible to enrol for CAT.
So, I would suggest you join a coaching class now. The earlier the better. In that way, you will get enough time to prepare and there won't be any chance for the loophole. Since CAT is a tough nut to crack.
There are different sections, that will equally need to be focused on.
And being a B.Com graduate myself, I can say that, especially for quants you will be needing time to prepare.
Good luck.
