You must target to score at least 97 percentile to get calls from newer IIMs or top B-Schools like MDI, XLRI, XIMB and S. P. Jain. As you have a good academic profile, you can surely expect few more good B-Schools call.

Hi Shameem,
No, the nature of both the exam is quite different. There is a totally different approach and strategy needed for these two examinations. The standard of CAT is any day higher than and Bank PO/SSC examination. So, the bank coaching will not be able to fetch you higher percentile in CAT, at max just clearing your basics.

Most of the colleges have eliminated the GD process and replaced it with WAT(Written Ability Test) which is more of a test of your thought formation and english writing skill and not just about having the highest voice in a fish-market. But PI still remains the most integral part of the process. Hence if you feel that you are not confident enough in English, I would suggest you work hard towards it and if required join a coaching center for the same and overcome your hurdle.

The answer to your question is simple as the new campus need students. They want to expand and establish their new campus asap.
Also, as it is a new campus, everything will not be same as of the main campus.

Hello Abhilash,
As per your percentile, it is very difficult to get a seat at DOMS, IIT-Madras. The CAT percentile should be 94+ for IIT-Madras, but they also look at your profile.
CAT 2017 cut-off will depend upon various factors. Some of the factors determining CAT cut-off can be mentioned as follows:
Difficulty level of exam
Number of test takers
Number of candidates qualifying the exam
Number of seats
Institute repute or ranking
