If you want to pursue MBA, then you have to write a entrance examination for the knowing of your efficiency in the course. If you don't write any exam you have to opt for a management quota seat which is usually 2 or 3 times higher than the actual fees of the course. And even though you opt for management quota you have to write a basic test for the same which will bee given by the college authorities and is a compulsory to write.

The admission in colleges varies year to year based on the demand for the college each year. So if your college has demand and a cutoff this year which is around or higher than 51k rank then you can apply and get a seat. If it's not around or if it's lower then you can just add a option and if you are lucky you can get a seat in the college. Otherwise you have to opt for other good colleges. If you don't get good colleges for your rank it's better to skip a year and prepare for the next year and opt a good college.

For CAT preparation you need a mentor or coach. At first, you need to go through basic modules of TIMES and IMS. For the competition, go through the basic concept. You can prefer ELITES GRID VIDEOS GEJO AND GP SIR VARC BOOSTER COURSE, so that you get ample opportunity to build a foundation for your preparation. Then the real game starts with mock. Analyze it very well and you can get a video solution of the test series you enrolled in ,so you might go through that as well. Hope it will help you.

Yes, it is okay to start preparing in august people prepare from October, and giving CAT get a good percentile time is not the issue but strategy and consistency is the issue you need to develop this 2 things first and after you do this first make a strategy for each of the subject for VARC start reading from Aeon guardian times of India for IRDI practice from past year papers and mocks for quant go through basic modules like arithmetic geometry Number System etc. And clear your concept then give sectionals and mock tests and analyze the test and that's it hope it will help you. Thanks.

At first if your 12th score is above 50 percent then you are eligible to sit for the CAT exam and yes you might not get calls from IIM B.A. C or I but doors are not closed for you can get a call from fms and new iims for sure if you can get a great percentile in your CAT exam and before preparation some key area you need to focus on
1)For VARC Rule no 1 READ R\ule no 2 never forget rule no 1
2) for lrdi practice is key do previous year mocks qn
3) MOCKS IS THE KEY
4)REVISE THE MISTAKE YOU DID IN YOUR MOCKS that's it hope it will help you.
