Hi Rashika, -Update yourself on the topics covered in each section of the syllabus first. -Once you have thoroughly read the material, practice with mock tests to determine your strengths and weaknesses. -Maintain consistency with your stronger portions while continuing to work on your weaker areas. -Don't spend too much time on a topic if you don't grasp it. Instead, focus on enhancing the sections where you now do averagely. -No student ever attempts to take the entire exam. Prepare strategies and tackle your test. -Regardless of your score, complete as many mock exams as you can. You can improve your time management, which is still another crucial component of taking admission exams, by taking mock test. -Remember that the backup option for the other entrance exams should be there, as the syllabus is essentially the same. -Keep up with current events and news, particularly in business and economics. If you are from some category then also you need about 93-95 percentile in CAT. The procedure to get an IIM call is very simple you have to just perform in CAT. To get a call after that call you're academics of 10th,12thand graduation will be seen and a composite score is created for you after getting call from an IIM in that composite score is created after your interview like IIMs call interview of like 1500-2000 students per IIM. So, then they are shortlisted on basis of that composite score. Your CAT percentile will help you to get a call from IIMs then your composite score will help you to get inside an IIM.

You will have to score above 95 percentile as a general student for call from IIM. After call from IIM you will have to do GD and PI. Apart from CAT score following are shortlisting criteria for IIM.

First of all, to get into IIM Ahmedabad you need to score above 99.7 percentile in CAT exam. Even after scoring above 99.7 percentile it is not enough to get a call from IIM Ahmedabad. After CAT exam every IIM prepares a merit list to call students for next round of interview based on your aggregate score which comprises of many parameters such as CAT marks, 10th, 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non-engineer, gender whose weight varies for all different Iims. As you have an average academic record, so Probability for you to get a call for the second round is less. Hoping that you have a good graduation percentage then you will need to aim for 99.9+ percentile in order to have some chance of getting IIM. Hope it helps.
