Hi Vamsi. CAT has a sectional time limit, which means each section needs to be completed in 60 minutes. Due to sectional time limit candidates cannot switch to the other section. As per past years trend the sequence is VARC, DILR and QA. When one starts to solve questions from any section, they should take a look throughout the section and try to mark which one they will attempt first. Candidates can select such questions on the basis of their strength or interest level or the difficulty level of the section. While taking questions form RC or DILR section always read passages or questions thoroughly. Through this candidates get an idea

Well, human resource is taken everywhere every year by students. The demand although is almost stable. The profits of course depends on how far you will get. But one thing to be noted is that try to get a placement from your company because getting into the HR department is quite a task as you may have to do internships for longer periods than other domains. The pay can vary according to the company hiring you.

Actually, weightage is given to each component like your UG marks, entrance exam, GD and PI result. More weightage is given to GD and PI mostly. Just make sure that you have average marks. Mostly, when you have the cutoff marks, they will shortlist you for the interview. Then your selection depends on the results of the interview. Of course for prestigious institutions you will need good marks to get in.

The last year aggregate minimum CAT cutoff for general category for top five Iims are given below for an idea.
1. IIM Ahmadabad : 80 percentile
2. IIM Kolkata : 85 percentile
3. IIM Rohtak : 95 percentile
4. IIM Indore : 90 percentile
5. IIM Bangalore : 85 percentile
Apart from above the individual sectional cutoff for VARC, DI&LR and QA are also important and for most of the Iims these remains above 70 percentile.
