Hello,
You can't change your past exam scores, but you can surely focus on getting a great CAT score. Since many good colleges give more importance to the CAT score, it becomes imperative to score as higher as you can in it. Good luck.

Hello,
With that low CAT score, it's impossible to get a good college anywhere in India since the cutoff of all reputed colleges is generally about 80 percentile.

What if my CAT percentile is between 80 and 90? CAT percentile between 80 to 90 can be a tricky situation. While you get optimistic to see yourself placed in the top range of CAT takers, the reality check of not being able to make it to the old IIMs also strikes soon. Since the old IIMs or IIM black is exhaust the shortlist by 98-100 percentile, there is hardly any chance for CAT takers securing 80 to 90 percentile to get a call from old IIMs. Despite performing well in CAT you suddenly realize that you are not good enough for your dream destinations to spend next two years. But rather than losing hope, you should look at the brighter

How is CAT Percentile Calculated? R= Rank of the candidate assigned on the basis of scaled CAT score or total number of candidates who rank below you. Suppose, 1000 people take CAT and you bag the top rank, which means 999 candidates scored less than you. Then your percentile will be 999/1000*100= 99.9.
