The cut-off is 50 percentile. However, IBI conduct a day-long Personality Profiling Exercise including Group Discussion and Personal Interview for levelling various factors of selection standard. Based on performance in all these tests, Academic achievements and Work Experience, cut-off for IBI admission is determined.

External Part-time Candidates (Candidates working in firms/institutions not affiliated to KTU and approved by KTU) should have a GATE score/CAT score > 80 percentile. However, for full time students 70-80 percentile in the CAT exam is accepted. So as you have 76% there is a chance you may get admission in KTU.  A student should also have a minimum of 45% marks in the end-semester examination to be eligible for grading in a course. Otherwise, he/she will be considered to have failed in the course and an F grade will be awarded
