The minimum qualification for Catering courses is a cleared class 10+2, and if it would be in relevant stream then it will be a plus for the candidate who is seeking a career in catering profession. Other than that candidates can also pursue Diploma or certificate courses, and if they want to gain an expertise then they should go for degree courses in the catering coures or related streams.

If we compare NMIMS school of hospitality management which is in Mumbai with Ice college of hotel management and catering technology. Package: Students who are graduates from NMIMS receive decent pakages starts from INR 4 Lacs to 8 Lacs per annum depending on the role and company.In Ice Hotel management the average package ranges from INR 3- 6 lakh Placement:NIMMS has a good placrment rate which is 80-90% with strong industry connections.Ice hotel management college has slightly lower rate of placement as compared to NMMIS .Lastly academically NMMIS include various theories and concepts along with the practical knowledge

Hi,Around 70% B.Sc. students get placements in the Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition in Srinagar.
