I suggest to do any Bachelor course related to IT field like B.Tech CSE would be a best option. Either you can learn programming languages by yourself through online courses but a degree is more worthwhile than this. All the best!

Yes, doing class 12th is not tough nowadays. As your dream is to go in government job which are always far better than unsecured private jobs. Also, government jobs doesn't need much academic qualification, but your practical knowledge, competitive rank and field experiences are much required. Best of luck.

When it comes to government jobs, they don't see whether you have done your education regularly or from open. They just want a minimum marks and passing certificate so yes you can get a government job but government job now days doesn't gets on your marks they are given on test and exam results. Hi,
To be able to get admission in KTI - Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
If you have not completed your XIIth - it will be difficult to get through.

Yes, you can go for mechanical engineering after 10th, but only in the field of Diploma & ITI in ME.
After that, you can pursue in B.Tech in ME by lateral entry scheme direct admission in the 2nd year of B.Tech graduation.
