Steps to apply:
1. Now the very first step is to get Medical examination 2 done. Only after Medical exam 2 reports, one can apply for medical certificate 1. Just visit Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Government of India's website and they have a long list of doctors who are certified to issue that certificate.
2. Next step is to apply to the respective flying school and clear their entrance exams to get through one of these:

In the above mentioned Institutes students can complete CPL. However attaining CPL allows one to fly CESSNA (small planes). In order to fly Bigger Airplanes one needs to attain TYPE RATING certificate. The full-fledged course (CPL plus Type rating) can be done from Cadet Pilot programme (Indigo and JET Airways Cadet Programs at National Flying Training Institute, Gondia). Student Pilot License (SPL): SPL is like learners license. One must have SPL prior to start flying training. Oral test is conducted by Chief Instructor at flying school or by DGCA representative. Private Pilot License (PPL): Private Pilot License should be attained if an individual has to fly his/her own plane. In order to attain, one needs to go through ground training for 4 months and fly for 40 hours. Eligibility: The candidate should be at least 10th passed and minimum age should 17 years.

Eligibility varies from university to university. Also, these days universities are offer B.Tech in Biotech, which is better than B.Sc as it is a professional degree whereas B.Sc is just a general degree. Many good private universities like VIT, LPU, SRM, etc. are offering admissions in B.Tech. These private universities offer admission on the basis of tests like JEE and their own tests. Some offer you direct admission too on the basis of your marks in previous qualifying exam. All these are world-class universities with modern infrastructure and good placements. Yes, you can do Diploma in engineering after class 10th. Most of the colleges offers 3 years Diploma courses in Engineering and after that u can go for B.Tech also as lateral entry in same college or other too. Also, after class 12th You can appear for various entrance examinations like JEE, and other entrance examinations conducted by state universities and other private universities. If you qualify in those entrance examinations, then you can appear for the counselling process, where you can choose your preferred branch (Marine engineering) in a college of your choice. Educational qualifications required to join CPL training programs-
To become a Commercial Pilot, one must possess CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence). This Licence is issued after a candidate clears the training program from an Institute recognized by the Civil Aviation Authority of that particular country (DGCA in case of India).
But to join CPL training program, a candidate has to meet certain minimum Educational qualifications requirements. Here they are-
* The candidate must have cleared 10+2 Science stream schooling with Physics and Mathematics as the main subjects (age of candidate should not be less than 17 years when the course starts).
* The minimum marks required is 50% (may vary from Institute to Institute) aggregate marks.
Fitness (medical) standards to be met-
A Commercial Pilot has to be fit- physically and mentally. That's why, during the selection process, lots of emphasis is laid on the medical status of the candidate. Here are some medical standards set by authorities, which interested candidates have to satisfy in order to get selected into CPL training program-
* Eye sight specifics- one eye has to have perfect eyesight, without any defects (6/6). It is allowed to have certain imperfection in the eyesight of the other eye (6/9). But this imperfection should be correctable to 6/6.
* Candidate must not have any serious physical deformity. Also, he/she should not have any kind of mental disorder, or any history of having such mental illness.

Yes I think you should be able to get your desired branch with this percentage which were obtained in the 10th class. Normally speaking all the government or government aided polytechnics admit students based on the marks of 10th in majority of the states and this process is coordinated by the Directorate of technical education.
