You just need to learn the concepts, don't mug up things, that's why you find it difficult to learn.

My suggestion to you, be very determined. Get the thought that you failed in 9th completely out of your mind. Finish 9th. Take up 10th with a positive and focused mind. Ask yourself and also take help from elders to figure out what's stopping you from concentrating, avoid any distraction, keep a good realistic timetable and follow it with short-term goals and long-term goal too. Reward yourself time to time when you do well. Do motivational exercise such as meditation, walking, etc. Don't forget to care for your mental and physical health.

After 10th, it is difficult to get admission in a business course. It requires +2 or Bachelor's degree. So, first, you complete it and then you will get admission in a business course.

You are eligible for a certificate course and a Diploma if its immediately after class 10th. Consider doing Diploma instead of certificate course if you are looking at hotel management as a career. Alternately, if you think 10+2 and then Bachelor's degree is a good time to invest, then I would recommend Bachelors in hotel management.

I would suggest you to either do a Diploma soon after 10th or consider completing 10+2 and then a Bachelor's degree in hotel and hospitality management. In the mean time, since your interest is very clear, you could consider taking up short courses and hands-on experience in baking. Prepare well for the entrance exams, interview and group discussion if you are planning the Bachelors in hotel management.

In my opinion, MPC - Mathematics Physics and Chemistry is a good idea, as it will form a basic and strong foundation for engineering degree later.

You may encourage him to take up sciences. If he wishes to do Computer or information Science engineering, then 10+2 sciences with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics is the option. Let him prepare for entrance exams so he can get into a good college at the end of 10+2. In Engineering or even degree programs such as BCA or B.Sc. Computer Science, I am sure he will be able to use both his creativity and computers interest. Encourage him to do personal projects during vacation time so his natural skills will keep enhancing.
