Hi,
While there are government sector jobs say in railways and PSUs and entry-level jobs in the private sector, I strongly suggest you opt for higher education as you have a good percentage and nice potential. You could choose to do Diploma or even better, pre-university and thereafter graduation. If nothing else, how about distance education.

Do a detailed analysis of where your interest and potential lies, what long-term opportunities seek and course you can do like engineering, medicine, CA, journalism, languages, and business. Based on that, take the right base stream such as Arts, Commerce or Science. Once 2 years of pre-university is completed, graduation can be taken up. If you are aiming at a particular college for engineering or medical, etc., it makes sense to join a coaching institute for entrance exams too during the pre-university period itself.

I would suggest you research and interact a lot with experienced people to see which among arts, science, these suits your interests and skill sets. Do your pre-university from the chosen stream. Thereafter, take up graduation either in engineering/medicine/basic sciences/computers or accounting and taxes, or literature/journalism/languages. This depends on what stream you choose in pre-university.

Hi,
You could choose either doing 2 years pre-university in arts, science, commerce or a Diploma directly. Post Pre-University /Diploma, you can see if you want to work or even consider graduation.

Post 10th, you can choose Diploma or +2.
In fact, in +2 there are 3 broad categories which include science, commerce and arts. Science streams will lead into medicine and engineering. Engineering has host of career prospects and job opportunities. It has subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics which are the core part. Arts has gates opened for literature, journalism, psychology, languages, teaching, etc. Commerce will lead you to investment banking, accounting, financial advisory, income tax etc. Check your real interest in long term, talk to people in all 3 streams and get a first-hand idea what the field is all about. I would strongly recommend that he completes the 10th standard. That becomes a great foundation and leads to a good sense of satisfaction too. It gives a proper head start. After that, he can choose certificate courses or Diploma courses. Or do the +2 and then Bachelors. Let him choose a field based on the interest and job prospects if he wishes to. Wish you the best. Ask him to pursue 10th and at the same time keep a tab on plenty of courses available in the industry to see what area is apt for his personality and abilities.

Complete 10th after 9th and then you can choose between Diploma and 12th. In 12th you can prefer science, arts or commerce depending upon your interest and skill sets.

I would recommend you to complete 10th. It provides good foundation. Alongside, yes, you can take up hobby certificate courses or vocational courses. However, complete your 10th first. It will give you the head start.
