According to the NEP 2020, Board exams will be held twice a year from the academic session 2025-26. Students will be allowed to retain their best scores. However, CBSE is yet to release any official notification in this regard. Last year, CBSE conducted the 10th, 12th board exams 2024 only once at the end of academic year. In 2021-22, the Board had conducted the CBSE exams in two terms due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The Board had reduced the syllabus for the said academic session and covered half of it in each term. This was done in order to assess students at least in one term in case examinations were to be canceled due to the pandemic, as was done in the academic sessions 2019-20 and 2020-21.
