In the same academic year, students are often permitted to take the CBSE Class 12 compartment test no more than twice. The third try in the next test cycle, like the one in July 2021, might not be available to students who have previously used two attempts—one in the regular exam and one in the first compartment exam. For Class 12th, it is considered to be strict. However, it is said that the checking done by evaluators is lenient in comparison to the checking done by them in Class 9, and class 11 in their schools. So, if you have covered the entire CBSE 12th syllabus and your preparation is on point, then you must not worry about the strict checking.

The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the CBSE 12th exams 2025 from February 15, 2025 in pen and paper format. The exams will conclude in April 2025. The Board is expected to release the CBSE 10th and 12th date sheet 2025 in December 2025 on the official website- cbse.nic.in.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the CBSE 10th syllabus 2025 on its official website on March 22, 2024. The syllabus is released subject-wise for all the subjects covered in Class 10. All subjects have reduced syllabus by 30% compared to previous years. In case you are unable to obtain 33 percent marks in one subject in CBSE 12th, you will be eligible to appear for the compartment exams for the same subject. The CBSE 12th compartment exams are held in June/July. This is a second chance to save your academic year.Students are advised to finish the CBSE 12th syllabus and know the exam pattern well. They must also solve and practice the previous year's question papers to know the types of questions asked in the exam. With focus, students can easily obtain the minimum passing marks.

Like every year, the CBSE 12th board exams in 2025 will also be conducted for 3 hours for most subjects. The timings are 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
