CAT is compulsory only if you want to get admission into all the IIMS and some top non-IIMS like SP Jain, FMS, MDI, etc. You can give other exams too like XAT CMAT NMAT, SNAP IIFT CET, etc. As per your convenience and the choice of your dream colleges which accept those scores.
