UPSC released the 459 CDS 2 Vacancy 2024 separately for IMA (Indian Military Academy), INA (Indian Naval Academy), AFA (Air Force Academy) & OTA (Officers Training Academy). Selection of candidates against CDS vacancies 2024 will be done based on the written exam and SSB interview.

The Union Public Service Commission specifies the CDS exam pattern for the written exam and SSB Interview. The written exam for IMA, INA, and AFA comprises three sections: English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics. In the English section of CDS exam, 120 questions will be asked and the maximum marks is 100. Some of the question patterns in English are Cloze Test, Preposition & Determinants, Completion of Sentence, Antonyms, Part of Speech, Spotting Error, Ordering of Word in a Sentence, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms, Idioms & Phrases, Ordering of Sentences. The English question paper is designed to test the candidates' understanding of the English language.
