Scope for Higher Studies after B.Arch:
Many higher study options are there for the B.Arch graduates. These graduates can apply for CEED which is the qualifying exam for higher study in design, during the final year itself. This also provides scholarship. Another option is the Masters degree in architecture. The graduates who have completed their B.Arch can join for this. The best option for higher study after B.Arch is the Master of design. It has many career opportunities. There are many institutes in India which offers this course. The admission to this course is based on the CEED score, design aptitude score and interview. Some of the higher study options after B.Arch are

Master of Technology in Urban and Regional Planning (M.Tech. - URP)

Admission Process:
The process of admission to Master of Design is through an entrance examination. This is known as Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED), it is conducted by IIT Mumbai every year. The test is designed to test the skills of the candidate like, colour sensitiveness, structure, perception, innovation and aptitude towards the discipline. The test is followed by a process of personal interview. If you do not want to appear for the CEED again, you can opt for Distance learning universities which allow direct entry of the candidates. There is no process of lateral entry in this course.

The Exam pattern of CEED exam is mentioned below:
CEED exam uses English as a medium of instruction. The CEED exam pattern is such that the test consists of two parts, which are, Part A and Part B. Both the parts are conducted on the same day and aspirants need to appear for both the exams on the given date and time.
CEED Part A Test Pattern
Part A of CEED exam consists of objective type questions MCQ, MSQ and NAT. Candidates need to attempt CEED Part A exam on a computer. Questions asked in this section of CEED exam are from topics such as visual and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language, observation and design sensitivity.
CEED Part B Test Pattern
Part B of CEED paper comprises of questions to test an aspirant's design, drawing and writing skills. In CEED Part B exam questions are displayed on a computer screen and candidates need to solve them on an answer booklet provided by the invigilator.
There are 8 questions in CEED Part B exam. The marking scheme is such that question number 1-5 in CEED exam are of 50 marks each and candidates have a choice to attempt any one of these questions.
Note: Part A of CEED 2018 will be considered as a screening exam. Thus, students who have been shortlisted in this test will be evaluated for Part B of the exam. However, only the scores of candidates in Part B will be used to prepare the merit list for CEED 2018.
CEED Score
The final CEED score of candidates is determined by giving 25% weightage to marks obtained by candidates in Part A and the remaining 75% weightage is determined basis scores obtained in CEED Part B exam.
