The Central University of Gujarat provides Non-NET fellowships to its students, which are subject to the pertinent UGC statutes and any subsequent revisions. The M.Phil. and Ph.D. students get it for 18 months and 4 years, respectively. The monthly allowance for students is INR 5000, with an annual contingency of INR 10,000 for Science courses and INR 8,000 for humanities and social Science courses. The Central Universities Act of 2009, which founded the institution in 2007, was passed by the Indian Parliament. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted recognition to the university. The Central University of Gujarat, often known as CUG, received a "B+" mark from NAAC for accreditation. The university has 11 schools 22 Centres, one autonomous Centre, and 66 programmes of study. NIRF 2023 has placed CUG 44th among India's leading universities. Admission to the University is dependent upon passing the entrance test, as CUG has decided that CUET will be required of all applicants.
