The Minimum Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria for Master of Design in Interior Design at CEPT University is as under.
1. Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture or Design or equivalent, awarded upon completion of a course of minimum four years duration
Or,
2. Bachelor's degree in Architecture recognised by the Council of Architecture
Or,
3. Bachelor's degree in Construction Technology (five-year programme), or
4. Diploma in Interior Design of four years duration (12 + 4), provided that the programme is considered equivalent to a four-year degree programme by the Equivalence Committee of CEPT University. Hence, Stat

Both the exam tests have similar topics and difficulty as well. It depends, if your idea is clear and focused towards CEPT only. Then, taking CEPT entrance is an option. GATE-AR would open more colleges for you.
