One must have at least a Bachelors degree preferably in a finance-related major, such as accounting or economics. Furthermore, it has become nearly compulsory that the aspirant has a certification in any one of- CFP CFA (most popular), CFS, CIMA, or the CLU courses though MBA may fill the requirement of these certifications in many cases. We can say that yes there is scope of CFA after B.Com (honours). Even the syllabus of B.Com matches with the syllabus of CFA like microeconomics, macroeconomics, financial statements, quantitative concepts etc. But it depends that how much emphasis one has in studying the concepts which are in B.Com that match with the subjects of CFA. It also depends on the college how they are teaching and whether the faculty there is competent enough to clear the concepts. Hi Diya. Most of the top b-schools, the curriculum is extremely hectic to take up CFA with it. Also, companies when they come for recruitment, they don't really value CFA level 1 a lot as there are many people with at least CFA level 2. Having said that, there is no harm in pursuing CFA with your MBA if you can pull it off. Good luck.
