Chandigarh University (CU)

Established by the Punjab State Legislature, Chandigarh University is a fully accredited institution recognised by the University Grants Commission under Section 2 (f). In accordance with Section 22 (1) of the UGC Act, 1956, the university is authorised to award degrees. Chandigarh University's BA LLB students dress in a white shirt, grey slacks, a red tie, and a navy blue coat. Although it is not required to wear the uniform every day, there are guidelines that state that it must be worn on days designated by management. The institution provides students with a five-year BA/LLB programme. A valid CUCET score is required for admission to this law course.

Indeed, Chandigarh University provides a two-year full-time MCA programme. This course is available in four specializations, two of which are at the international level through the International Tie-up Program (ITP).Admissions to the MCA programme will be granted based on CUCET, an entrance exam conducted by the university. The last date to register for CUCET 2024 Phase-I is June 29, 2024. The last date for the CUCET 2024 Phase-I Exam is June 30, 2024.Course Eligibility: Passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree or Passed B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or at Graduation Level  (with additional Bridge Courses as per the norms of the University).

The hostel is very well accommodated and it has all the facilities. There are separate hostels for girls and boys in separate buildings. There are two hostels affiliated with girls and there are 3 hostels for boys. The hostel fees are different for four-seaters and three seaters which further, also depends on the AC and non-AC rooms for one year the fee for non-AC rooms is INR 1.2 K and fees for AC rooms are INR 1.5 K.  Hostels have washrooms attached with the rooms and two common washrooms on one floor. The facilities provided by the hostel are wi-fi, air-conditioned rooms, Water coolers, etc. For, maintaining the decorum of the hostel separate wardens are there. The mess food offered by the hostel is also very tasty.

Furthermore, LPU's CSE department has established partnerships with industry leaders such as Google, Pega, VMWARE, Automation Anywhere, Informatica, Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), IBM, Intel, Xebia, Upgrad, CompTIA, Transorg, Geeksforgeeks, among others, to provide students with opportunities to deepen their expertise in their chosen field.The university's campus witnesses the presence of more than 550 companies for recruitment, and the highest stipend earned by an LPU student reached ?1.6 Lac. Impressively, there have been over 700+ offers from Fortune 500 companies and engagement with 900+ recruiters.
