Dear Sameeksha, I don't know the hotel management programme details of Chandigarh University but can share the same about LPU. I am an alumnus of LPU and completed my MBA programme there. One of my friend's brother is also studying there in Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology BHMCT )
Let me share few points about the Hotel Management programme at LPU :
Curriculum: High academic standards are maintained by offering the curriculum framed in consultation with industry experts. Student exposure: Being a part of a resource-rich University, the students have an advantage of interdisciplinary exposure which is not possible in standalone colleges. University-Hotel: The School also trains its students in the campus hotel named UniHotel of 25 rooms hosting national and international guests where students practice along with the staff. Infrastructure: The School has five modern kitchens with two bakeries. All kitchen and bakery are equipped to enable a student to perform scientifically and to attain their best of learning through most modern gazettes. We have few training restaurants to teach a student about the authentic serving style of food and beverage. We are equipped with one front office laboratory, two housekeeping laboratories, two computer laboratories with 60 computers, and a simulation laboratory for aviation. Placement: Good placements record with minimum 10% students selected as Management Trainee (Junior Executive level) till date and the placement is with brands like Cox & Kings, Carnival Cruise, JET Airways, Oberoi, Taj, Leela, etc. Package: Six students were offered the package of Rs 8 Lacs by Carnival Cruise in last years. Internship: Industry internships in top national and international five-star hotel brands like The Leela Palace, ITC, Taj, Oberoi, The Grand, Marriott, etc. Intellectual Strength: Faculty members with a holistic blend of academic & industrial exposure. Immersive Mentor-ship Model: Experienced faculty members of the discipline nominated as mentors to eligible students. I hope this helps

LPU provides a great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. I am an alumnus of LPU and did B.Tech CSE, I find CSE very interesting and pursuing my career as a software engineer currently in Noida, some colleagues of mine had done ECE but were appointed as software engineers. LPU has AA+ Infrastructure including shopping malls, refreshment centers, the largest Private University Accommodation in the world, 13000 + CC cameras, indoor transportation system, University Management System, etc. According to the recent NIRF ranking LPU is ranked 62nd among all government and Private universities in India. When students of so many streams interact with each other it helps in expanding the mind not only in the course the student is currently pursuing but also in other courses. On average, more than 600 companies visit every year for various industry-academia activities and campus recruitment of students from LPU. LPU provides placements to the maximum it has record-breaking placements in MBA approximately 98% of students got placed in top companies in the year 2020. Moreover, CSE students were placed in top companies, with a package of 42 per annum in Microsoft was a highlight in the newspaper and in news. In CSE the placement record is almost 100%. One of my friends did B.Tech from LPU and now she is working in Google in USA.

4.8 LPA is the average salary package of the Batch. Huge number of Campus placement drives with reputed brands used to be held every year for this course.
