Well I can't say about Chandigarh University, I would like to discuss about Lovely Professional University. The Mechanical Engineering department had the most ideal study environment since I have two friends from that stream. The labs and workspace at LPU School of Mechanical Engineering, was fully equipped with all the necessary machinery that was required for wholesome learning. I am going to share few facts which I know about mechanical department:-
A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure. As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. This would be true for any university you enroll in. PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester covering: Analytical Skills (Logic Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning) Quantitative Aptitude Skills Technical Aptitude Skills Presentations and Soft Skills Mock Exercises (Mock Interviews, GDs, Mock Tests, etc. ). Mechanical Engineering students at LPU are provided with enormous opportunities of placement drives. I can SEE my few friends getting placed in reputed companies like Hyundai, Reliance Energy, Godrej, Sandhar Technology, XL Dynamics and many more. Even IT industries recruit Mechanical students here. Companies like Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, etc. Are prominent recruiters here. LPU alumni are working in top MNCs across the globe like Voltas International, Honda Two Wheelers, Asahi India Glass Ltd. , Indo Farm Tractors Ltd. etc. LPU Students have been offered International locations like Dubai and Oman by Voltas. School of Mechanical Engineering organized an International Conference on Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (ICRAME), in which experts from leading brands like Maruti Suzuki, Biomimicry India were present.

Lovely Professional University provides several programs that include B.Tech, B.Tech (Hons. ), a dual degree programme for B.Tech and M.Tech and B.Tech and MBA and integrated programs like B.Tech and MBA and B.Tech and M.Tech. The syllabus is updated every 6 months which personally, It has separate lab facilities available for each course like robotics Lab, research lab, postgraduate lab, aviation lab, lab for fashion designing, advance kitchen lab etc.
Faculties are highly qualified, most of the faculties have done their Ph.D and others are pursuing, They have at least minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge, both theoretical and practical knowledge.They are cooperative and whenever you need their help they are ready to help you out.

I would say, Lovely professional University is one of the most prestigious universities in India. It offers 200+ programs and courses at Diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. LPU is popular for its excellence in teaching and the infrastructure facilities the university possesses. I did post graduation from this University and I have few friends who has done BCA and currently they are working with MNCs with decent package. One of my friend told me that In BCA you will learn about some interesting subjects like Mathematics, Computer Programming, Computer Networking, Database Management Systems and, Software Engineering. Besides the core compulsory subjects, students can choose from a wide variety of subjects as their pathway elective or minor elective. The curriculum is revised occasionally to keep students up-to-date and industry ready. They give a very good amount of training before you go into campus placements. Don't miss out on that as in the end, all we need is a decent place with good exposure. Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, are an integral part of the curriculum. You'll get many opportunities like coding events, hackathons and a lot more in LPU so that you can improve your skills, You will be able to achieve various certifications, which help you in getting better placements. LPU provides Separate laboratories for all the domains: Programming Lab, Networking Lab, Systems and Architecture Lab, Databases Lab, Software Engineering Lab. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA to 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered is between 9 LPA to 11 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Infosys, TCS and many other companies visit our campus for placements. But this is BCA that's why a lot of students think to do MCA from foreign universities. I did MBA from LPU but I have few friends who has completed B.Arch from LPU itself. I would like to discuss few points which will help you to take decision.
