10+2 with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any two of the following subjects: Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the aggregate.

You can go for the following books to build up knowledge gradually and step by step:
. Strength of Materials (R.K. Rajput, Beer & Johnston)
. Surveying (S.K. Duggal, B.C. Punmia)
. Building Materials (S.C. Rangwala)
The last subject is quite interesting and it would be very good if you study it on regular basis.
