Hi, I would say, Chandigarh University is better than Asia Pacific Institute in terms of placement. But not much far, there is another university giving tough competition which is Lovely professional university. It also has good environment and placement records.

Yes, Chandigarh University conducts CUSAT exam for admission every year in month of March or April. You can also get an admission through your 10+2 percentage or JEE Mains rank.
