Admission to M.Sc, MA, M.Com, LLM, M.L.I.Sc., BA, PG B.Sc. (Applied), and M.Tech is done on the basis of entrance exam conducted by the university.
The university offers PG programmes in various disciplines leading to MA, M.Sc., M.L.I.Sc., MSW, MCA, LLM, MMR, MHM, MDS, M.Arch, M.Com, M.Ed., and M.Pharm at PG level.
Minimum eligibility for PG courses is candidates must pass in Bachelors degree in relevant discipline from recognized university.
Selection Process:
Pune University follows an entrance & non-entrance based criteria to grant admission in several PG programmes. For MA in Philosophy, students have to qualify in the entrance or interview cum presentation test. For MCA, candidates must qualify in entrance examination conducted by the university. Admission to MA, LLM, M.L.I.Sc., M.Com and M.Sc. is done on the basis of entrance test.

B.Sc IT (Information Technology) is also a three-year undergraduate course. In this course, students are trained to perform well in computer applications and Software. This course aims to provide better knowledge in core subjects like operating systems, data structure and database applications
IT (Information Technology) is a growing field in India, and is looked upon, as one of the industries to provide jobs. A science student, interested in joining the IT bandwagon is usually confused between many courses on offer at the undergraduate level and might end up joining a course, which might not be as beneficial as some other course.
B.Sc (Computer Science):
The B.Sc (CS) course mainly focuses on the mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing, rather than teaching specific technologies that may quickly become outdated. The course prepares you for higher education. Jobs after B.Sc: Although people prefer to enhance their skills by pursuing higher education, companies hire B.SC (CS) students for the post of software testers, software developers in various IT companies.
