If you fulfill the eligibility criteria of the specific institute you may complete further admission formalities. For now, I would suggest you to first contact the institute officials of the shortlisted universities directly for specific eligibility criteria details.

Hello Ashish Kumar, It's nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing your graduation in engineering after completion of the Diploma. In many states admissions are based on the marks obtained in Diploma exam while in others an exam is conducted. You need to check from your state's dte of tech education website the procedure adopted by the state. Best wishes to you.

Yes you can easily get admission in Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani campus in chemical engineering but in the last round of the counseling.

It is indeed very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing your engineering in chemical branch in a college in the state of Maharashtra. There are a plenty of colleges in which you can pursue this branch. However, I hope you have appeared for MHT CET since this is the main entrance exam that is valid for majority of the colleges. Of course for some colleges it is the JEE Mains or JEE Advanced that is criteria. Yes, it is better option to take ceramic engineering in NIT, Rourkela and upgrade it to mechanical or chemical as there is a lot of demand of ceramic engineering also, so if you might not be able to upgrade to the chemical also you have a great career ahead.
