All the streams are equally good and you can get a good salary based on the organisation you are joining. If you want to go to the IT industry, ECE is the option among these, for research biotech is the best option in the current scenario. Chemical will open options in PSUs apart from the private sector.

Chemical engineering is somewhat better than biotechnology in India. If you want to join chemical engineering then try to crack some good GATE rank so that you can get jobs in ONGC, HPL and also in government based chemical sectors. Otherwise, try to go for any booming stream in engineering like civil, mechanical, etc.

Hi, Its just okay. But in my opinion, it does not live upto the brand value which the BITS has. Though the curriculum is good but the faculty members are not apt. But irrespective of the branch, the academic curriculum and the overall system of BITS gives you enough freedom to do whatever you want. So, don't just focus on the branch.

If you consider the placement percentage for the year 2018, about 56.82% students of chemical engineering got placed. The highest package was 7.95 LPA. It's good as compared to chemical engineering at Tier-3 colleges but not as good as CS/EC branches.
