If you are a B.Tech in Polymer graduate then you can appear for GATE and all other UG based entrances as well. There are a lot of options one can pursue after graduation. State your field to get better answers.

See, if you want to go for the research, then you can opt for the chemical engineering. Otherwise, opt for the CS and there is a wide scope of both the streams. So, for the future in both, the streams you only have to look for your passion.

Of course, its a very good course. Its demand will always be there in future as there are very few colleges offering chemical engineering seats. It also has a bright future in forensic departments.

Well, scopes in itself is quite a vague term. With scope you want to know about the job or about the field? Let us consider you want both. So, if you are wondering where would you land up after investing 4 precious years of your adoloscent life then let me tell you there are plenty of choices and scopes for you if you are capable enough. Oil and Gas sector:
Major PSUs are IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, GAIL, ONGC. Major private companies are Reliance, Shell, Essar, Mittal Energy Group etc. Other Sectors:
Fertilisers: National Fertilisers Ltd, Kribhco, IFFCO etc. Paints: Asian Paints, Berger Paints etc. Food and Other Processing: Godrej, ITC, P&G, TAT

Hello Purna,
It's nice to know that you are already post graduate in maths. May I then ask, why engineering now? Almost 50% of fresh engineering graduates are not finding any placements. In addition, doing engineering via distance education is illegal. I feel you should go for PhD in maths rather than pursuing this idea of engineering via distance education.
