Hello Venkatesh, Yes, there will be lateral entry after completion of Diploma in Chemical engineering. It of course depends on as to how many seats are released by competent authority for such admissions.

Well, both branches are good.
Depends on what you want to do. Engineers apply principles from science to create practical solutions to real-world problems. Chemical engineers use chemistry to develop fuel, food, drugs and new substances. Petroleum engineers cover chemistry and geology to extract oil and gas from under the earth's surface.
