Hello Dinesh, You have asked a very difficult query indeed. Frankly speaking petrochemical branch has come out of chemical engineering. So its a speciality branch. Petroleum engineering will be dominating world economy for many more years to come and hence will have opportunities for employment. On the other hand, chemical branch deals with a subject that is going to last till humans are alive. It too has tremendous potential for employment. My opinion is that you should bid for both branches but accept whatever comes first.

Hi Nizar,
You can look for options in the country you are living in currently. I doubt if you will be eligible for chemical engineering with a sales and marketing background. Just look around for universities you are located and check the admission requirements. You must apply for study permit additionally.

Hi Dhiraj, As it will be difficult to provide best institutes, as the definition of best varies from person to person depending on various parameters. Before seeking admission in any institute, kindly check the below mentioned parameters such as affiliation, accreditation, fee structure, curriculum etc. Here is the basic eligibility for pursuing B.E in Chemical Engineering:
Aspirant must have must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the following subjects : Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Electronics
Candidate must have scored minimum 60% mar

Evening/distance/online/part time engineering courses are not valid any more as per the latest Supreme Court verdict. Hence, I would recommend you to join regular B.Tech course for better career prospects.
