Placements: The placements in core chemical were very good. Around 30% people got placed in core companies. Some of the core companies which came to campus for placements were HPCL, Honeywell, Schlumberger, ReckitBenkister, Johnsson, and Mathew. Apart from this, many got placed in consulting firms like ZS Associates and many got into IT jobs. Core companies like Honeywell, Reliance and Schlumberger do visit the campus, although they choose only the best of the best. Most of the students get placed. GGSIPU has just one college that offers chemical engineering- USCT (University School of Chemical technology) situated in the main campus of IPU in Dwarka. The placements in chemical engineering at IPU are pretty mediocre and hardly any top companies come to recruit at the campus. That said, if you happen to have the knowledge of the domain and are able to secure a good rank in the college, chances are good that you might land a decent job. Hi,
The placements of VNIT CSE are the best, as compared to the other departments/branches. Many top companies, like Morgan Stanley, Amazon, etc. visit here every year. The packages are not that high, as compared to CSE of IITs or CSE of top NITs, but still better than that of some other NITs, and the private colleges. Youll definitely get a job, with a decent package, at a reputed company. Moreover, the NIT tag, as well as the reputed company tag, would further enhance your growth in the future.
