Most colleges have a different provision for admission. You need to contact the institute officials personally for specific admission details as it differs from one college to another.

Hello ,Placement of any department depends upon the college. If you are studying in a branded college like IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani, Jadavpur university then department turns out to be crucial regarding packages offered. Except CSE and IT no department has done wonders on placement considering the whole batch. Placement solely depends upon a candidate and placement options are available in good colleges only. Regarding food tech & BIOCHEMICAL engineering at jadavpur university placement in core companies like ITC, Carlsberg has seen a decline in past few years and highest package offered was 6 LACS p.a. in core. Rohit, it can be called good but definitely cannot be termed as the best. With Chemical engineering degree I suggest you must do MBA immediately thereafter and then join a process industry to begin with so that you can master the art of processing. Thereafter you can work in any kind industry or business.
