Chemical Engineering is a better option than BSc chemistry as it has more career options as compared to BSc and also career growth in terms of Engg is high. With Engg degree one can easily enter the research field and many options are available. Although one can enter research field by pursuing BSc and then MSc also but more chances are with Chemical Engg is there. Also the starting salary of Chemical Engg is more than the chemistry graduate also career growth is also fast in Chemical Engg. In terms of educational qualification Chemical Engg has high repute than normal Chem grad.

Too many diversions ahead ! I would suggest to choose whatever you like the most. You must already be aware about your engineering degree. Going for job and doing MBA both are good. Even if you go for job most people comeback to complete MBA for proper growth. So suggestion would be go for MBA now ! if its financially feasible for you family. Look for good colleges IIM, IIT, NITs, Symbiosis, Lovely Professional University etc. Placement should be most important thing to look when going for MBA.
