No, attempting only Physics, Chemistry, and Math sections in the NEST exam is sufficient to qualify and be considered for merit ranking. NEST allows candidates to attempt questions from any three out of the four sections offered: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.Sections: The exam consists of four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.Attempting Sections: You can choose to attempt any three sections based on your strengths and interests. It's difficult to say definitively whether you'll get a grace mark from Odisha CHSE based solely on your expected marks (15 in Physics and 16 in Chemistry). Awarding grace marks depends on several factors beyond just meeting a minimum threshold. Minimum Passing Marks: The minimum passing marks for Physics and Chemistry might be higher than what you're expecting. CISCE postponed the ISC Chemistry exam 2024 due to unforeseen circumstances. The exam was scheduled for Feb 26, 2024 but was later held on Mar 21, 2024 at 2 pm.

According to the NEET 2024 eligibility criteria, candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination. Hence, if you have not passed the Chemistry subject, then you will not be considered eligible for appearing in the exam. However, if you are appearing for the improvement exam, you must have the qualifying scores or result before the admission process commences.
