The government laboratories, universities or colleges and the industries, mainly chemical and pharmaceutical, are the three major sectors which recruit the chemistry graduates. For the entry level jobs in these fields, graduates need at least a Bachelor's degree in chemistry. But, for the senior positions like in research, they need Ph.D in the same. The main employers of chemistry graduates are in the chemical and related industries, such as:
-Agrochemicals
-Metallurgical
-Petrochemicals
-Pharmaceuticals
-Plastics and Polymers

After B.Sc. Chemistry, I would suggest either pursuing MBA for good jobs or PG Diploma in either Plastic Processing or Plastic Packaging. Both are equally good option and high in demand. If you will do PG in either course through CIPET or IIPT you will be able to earn 18k as a fresher with ample opportunities for promotions and raise.

Hello, Yes, you are eligible for IIT JAM Exam. You only need a graduation degree in any discipline from any recognised university with minimum 55% marks for General & OBC and 50% marks for SC, ST categories. Click here http://bit.ly/2HxUej2 to check the complete eligibility criteria required to appear in the IIT JAM Exam. Final year students can also apply for the JAM Exam.
