Especially, NIT Trichy is one of the reputed institutes for its chemistry program, experienced faculty, and decent placement opportunities. It is unlikely that you will get admission into an M.Sc. Chemistry programme at IITs or NITs with 11 marks in the IIT JAM exam since the competition here is pretty high. Typically, cut-off scores are much higher for IITs and NITs, considering the category and institute. Different institutes such as IITs or NITs set their own cut off in the light of examination, applicants, and availability. One should always try to find out the institute wise cut off for each institutes of interest. Then there is also the second attempt of the examination where a higher score is guaranteed.
