Hello Aspirant, VIT has category-wise cutoffs for a specific branch. There are 5 categories. The fees increases with category. For instance, the fee for category 4 will be more than category 2. Therefore, you can get CSE at a higher rank but the fee will be more. Category wise cutoff for CSE branch:
Category 1- 950
Category 2- 3500
Category 3- 19000
Category 4- 22000
Category 5- 25500
Category wise cutoff for CSE (with specialisation branches like AI, Data Science, etc. ). Branch:
Category 1- 2800
Category 2- 9000
Category 3- 23000
Category 4- 27000

The latest cutoff ranges from 67 marks for general and about 56 marks for SC. It basically ranges in between these marks for any category.
