Some of these colleges include:Central Polytechnic College, Taramani: Accredited by the government with excellent infrastructural facilities and talented faculties/teachers, it provides two different sections for many Diploma courses.P. T. Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker Polytechnic College: This college has engineering Diploma courses offered in two sessions, they are;Sri Sairam Polytechnic College: It is in West Tambaram primarily meant for engineering Diploma and this is available in the morning as well as in the evening.V. S. Venkata Subaiah Polytechnic College: This college is also functional in two shifts and provides assortment of technical programs.These colleges offer the flexibility of timing options for their students thus enabling them to balance their educational endeavors and other issues.

In Chennai, some of the most sought-after institutions offer commerce streams to the students without having any compulsion of studying Mathematics. One of them is Loyola College, an institution that provides a wide range of bachelor's degrees in Commerce and Business Administration. Stella Maris College is considered popular for its Commerce and Economics stream and hardly any stream asks for Math scores for admission. Similarly, MOP Vaishnav College for Women also offers commerce courses without the provision for Mathematics. CSB has relatively high prestige; it is situated in Chennai and offers to the attended students the possibility to use all the opportunities such as air-conditioned class-rooms, library, computer labs, sections for sports, comfortable living rooms and so on. The school is connected to the B. S Abdur Rahman University so it has good academic and the infrastructure background as well.   CSB has a two-year MBA programme for its students for which written test of CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, GMAT, TANCET or CSBAT scores are mandatory.
