Students were exposed to Community (Anganwadi centers and rural schools) to know about the extension education and community nutrition. They were also engaged in hospital internships as dietitians to learn about the patients' counseling techniques and report analysis. Students were also taken to the food kiosk and kitchens of food courts to learn about food service management. They were also involved in new product development and its analysis pertaining to nutrition, shelf life, and cost analysis. Emphasis on case studies and inter-personal-based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios. Some achievements:
1. 8 students got a placement in VLCC Wellness.
2. 2 students got placed in British Biologicals.
3. 1 student got placed in Tagore hospital, Jalandhar, Punjab.
4. 1 student is pursuing a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology IIFT Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India.

The placement record is very strong at this college, according to me, and about 80 to 85 percent of students are put in large companies such as Google Infosys, Microsoft, Amazon, etc. We have an active career support team office that is exclusively made available to serve our carriers better. They also carry big companies who bid 6 to 7 Lacs per year, which can go up to 15 Lacs per year, to do the internship for the final placement. The school's technology is really strong and the whole college is provided by Google's full Wi-Fi and live lab. This college is the best in this selection, from my point of view. Here, in nature, the faculty members are also very strong and the greatest knowledge they have. They always encourage us to enhance you, and here study materials are provided with a fully online mode, which is very good to access anywhere you want at any time. And the greatest thing I like is 75% attendance is obligatory if you don't. The education standards match the best in the industry. Here students are allowed to be a part of every important activity, for eg there is a Board of Studies which studies and approves/improves the course content and syllabus this is like any other university, but in CU students are a part of BOS this is unlike any other university. Students opinion is also included in upgradation of their course content! Infact, this year for the CAB (Corporate Advisory Board) Meeting, for the first time, students handled 80% of all the activities. Chandigarh University is completely a student centric university. Student teams are a part of several important decision making sessions and interact with their Club/committee faculty co-coordinators, Dean Students Welfare, HOD and directors on a regular basis.
