Christ University Entrance Test Pattern

CUET exam pattern is prescribed by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting body. CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted in a hybrid mode. CUET UG 2025 will be divided into three parts which will carry objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question will carry five marks and for each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one mark. Candidates must note that the CUET UG will have Section 1A, Section 1B, General Test, and domain-specific subjects. Section 1A, which will be compulsory, will be conducted in 13 languages and candidates will be given the option to choose the language of their choice. Candidates will be permitted to take up to six subjects which would include three domain subjects, two languages and general test.

The medium of the CUET 2024 question paper will be English and the languages chosen by candidates among 12 regional languages. 

Candidates preparing for CUET UG can refer NCERT books for preparation to ace the examination. Students may note that CUET UG syllabus is not based on CBSE or ICSE boards syllabus.Time Management: Create a study schedule that allocates time for both CUET UG and Board exams. Factor in revision and practice tests. Be realistic and adjust as needed.Focus on NCERTs: NCERT textbooks are considered the golden standard for both CUET UG and Board exams. Make sure your foundation is strong in these.Right Resources: Utilize resources like previous years' question papers, mock tests, and sample papers for both exams. This will familiarize you with the question format and time constraints.Practice Makes Perfect: Regularly solve practice questions and take mock tests to identify your strengths and weaknesses. Analyze your performance and target areas that need improvement.Focus on Weaknesses: Don't neglect your board exam subjects while focusing on CUET UG. Identify your weaker areas in both exams and dedicate extra time to mastering those concepts.

The length of each subject's Common University Entrance Test (CUET) test typically varies according to the specific standards set by the organisation that administers it. Conversely, the duration of each subject's CUET exam is normally two to three hours. Students have a specific amount of time to complete the allocated test components, which vary based on the subject and programme they are applying to. Multiple-choice, subjective, or a mix of the two types of questions may be included in these sections. Candidates need to develop effective time management skills in order to finish all of the questions in the allocated time. In the official exam notification and guidelines, the conducting body will inform candidates of the exact duration of each subject.

NTA prescribes the CUET UG marking scheme. Check below to know the CUET UG marking scheme 2024:• Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5).• Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).• Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).• If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.• If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.• If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.

The Skill Assessment Test will consist of a test on written skills, communication skills and logical reasoning.
