It all Depends from where you are going to do the course. Since you have not mentioned the college and also about your last academics. FTTI is a Government Body and is the best. FTTI, Pune - They offer 3 years Post Graduate Diploma in Cinematography. Fees for 1 year including Hostel - 120000/- approximately. Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent (The candidates who have not received their graduation degree before the application date are required to submit the same before the date of admission). In Journalism & mass Communication courses - emphasis is more on writing skills / story making / Presentation / facing camera etc .
In media & Entertainment - Its more about becoming an anchor / personality development and other aspects of movie making but in lesser depth.
But if you are interested in cinematography - the course is entirely different.
You should go for Film & Television Technology - it covers all aspects of film making & cinematography as well. This will increase your chances of job prospects.
