If you are a civil engineer, and you still want to be really good professional and learn more from it, you must pursue M.Tech. And, if you wish to go for business dealers stuff from engineering go for MBA. The decision is still yours. It is completely based on your likes and interest of where you want to stand 5 years ahead. The starting pay of a civil engineer is much less than that of a, say, software engineer. And there is a good reason for it. Civil engineering is valued more on experience than that of knowledge, whereas other engineers are valued more on knowledge. The more experience you have, the more your value increases. Other fields on the other hand are pretty stagnant in terms of development with experience (compared to civil engineering)
