First thing, you must have a keen interest to pursue civil engineering. You need to have planning, designing, supervising and administering skills. Also, you must be ready to sweat out and construction sites and ready to work in hostile conditions.
Civil engineers have good opportunities in government sectors. There is a huge demand of civil engineers as government has boosted the infrastructure sector. There are equally good opportunities in private sector for civil engineers.

You have to qualify tests like GRE or TOEFL in order to pursue higher studies abroad. You have to apply separately for the colleges and universities. You may not get a scholarship to pursue your Master's degree abroad.
