Yes, you can pursue M Plan after Civil Engineering, in fact coming from a Civil Engineering background would help you to build a strong foundation in areas like structural engineering and geotechnical engineering, which will help you for career in M Planning. To be eligible for this pathway you need to complete a degree in BTech Civil Engineering.

If you cracked UPSC ESE then definitely join as IES. Or if you are preparing then give both GATE and UPSC ESE your first priority should be IES then any PSU job.
